*Poll* 4 planes, 20" widescreen in my luggage. Think it will arrive undamaged?

It should be fine if it's in a box inside your clothes. I've shipped a 12 pack of beer inside my luggage before with no problem. What gets scary is when your bag is too thin and gets dropped or thrown by the baggage handlers.

I've seen bags come out of the baggage claim that had rips and skid marks on the side of them where they were obviously mishandled.

You got lucky, no? I think things like that in an unpressurized luggage compartment at 35,000 feet have a tendancy to go boom?

haha, you got lucky.

My ex-roomate in the army thought he'd be slick and bring back a duffel bag full of german beer for his family from Germany. He said when he was waiting for it at the luggage pickup it game down the chute with beer pouring out of it. He said he ran up, and pull the ID tag off the handle and took off.

LOL

Opened my baggage and found one of the little notes saying it had been opened and inspected.

Monitor was still there, I could tell they had iopened the box itself and did a piss-poor job of reassembling the box afterwards. However the sheer amount of clothes in the suitcase puleld it though. The box was bent at about a 10 degree angle at almost exactly the center because they had moved a hardcover book to exactly the wrong spot. However, no damage to the LCD itself.

It works, no dead pixels, no scratches.
