there is a price difference of 30$ for this case... both are Antec PSU... (BTW, does anybody know if these PSU are able to switch between 110v and 230v???)well what do you think... This is probably going to be an AMD 1ghz T-bird... + overclocking...so hopefully somewhere about 1.2 and above...ok... now you are asked..

add your opinion on peltiers too... i am thinking of getting one too...

Ok checked out the Volt switch... the guy said that all Antec PSU do have this option... by the way how do you call this option in english... ???

Get a case without the PS and buy an enermax 330W supply. It has dual fans and is way quiet. It lowered my PIII 600@800 by over 10 degrees F just having that airflow right over the hs/fan of the CPU.

I think it's called an input voltage selector switch

Hello. The power supply option you are referring to is called "115/230 Selectable Voltage" or just "Selectable Voltage"

I have the Antech PS303X (300W) power supply) in the Antech PS282 case. It's great. I'm very happy with both the PS and the case. I'm pretty sure that all Antech power supplies are AMD-approved. Do not use a non-AMD-approved PS with an AMD CPU; stick with one that they've certified. You can find a list on their web page. You've probably seen it already.

I'd go with the 400w (as long as it's AMD-approved). This gives you some added leeway and room for future expansion. I got a good deal on mine at a local store. They didn't have the 400W, else I would've gotten it. Good luck.

450watts!
Uhmm seriously though, unless you plan to run 4 hard drives, 3 optical drives and a Zip drive, 300Watt is probably enough.

I'll second the motion that it's called an input voltage selector switch.

Well what about a peltier... does anybody know about the peltier? ...

I guess i choose the 400W... it is just 30$ and hell yeah... who cares...

Get a 550 watt enermax. Picked one up yesterday. You won't run out of power for a while. Of course with a msrp of about 150.00 it won't come cheap 🙂

this is definitely too much... i cannot spent that much on a PSU and I am sure that this wouldn't come close to my needs... but of course if I had the money who cares...

it is a nice part... really is.. lucky man...

lol not yet... maybe if i get out of school and earn some money...

maybe then...

I paid $100 for a 350w PS from PCPOWERANDCOOLING.com! It was worth the investment however since I do run 4 hdd's, (1 10k scsi + 3 IDE) 3 optical drives ( all SCSI 🙂) and 1 SB Live Drive II IR (which sucks up power too!🙁).
