Atlanta. No wait we already got it. Dang, and I didn't get to go to any events either.

Currently, most people think Beijing is the front runner and Toronto is second, with everyone trailing behind quite far (esp. Istanbul).

I hope Toronto gets it. Beijing's rights record needs polishing, and their air is the worst. Toronto has a better infrastructure, and our provincial government has already stated it would pick up the tab if the games run a deficit. And of course, I have a place right near the Toronto downtown waterfront, where much of the stuff would happen... but I'm not biased, really... :D

I just hope San Francisco gets it in 2012.

I'm looking forward to going to Salt Lake City next year.

I HOPE Toronto doesn't get it. We live 5 miles from where most of the construction would be. Go Beijing.

Beijing. I saw the guards learning KungFu.
Besides, I don't think it should come back to Western Hemisphere for a while now. Otherwise it will appear like some bribery is going on again. Of course, NBC will bitch and moan cus the timezones are bad for them, but who cares.

Beijing has a good chance. It would be interesting to have the Olympics hosted in China, a place that the world should get to know in more detail. I also think that they would be excellent hosts; one thing I've noticed is that the Chinese govt really goes all out when it puts on an international venue. For something like the Olympics, they would take that approach to the next level. Of course, it'll be hard to beat the spectacular Sydney presentation, but we'll see.
