I have things to do, so I have to make this thread short and to the point.

I am soooo friggin SICK of hearing people down Bush, and I am even MORE sick of hearing the media try and flash it around. Gore says "rah rah rah". One little Canadian piss ant says "rah rah rah".

For once in my life, I feel we have a president that has morals. People today are losing the vision our forefathers had. Some people would rather have a president that sits around in the White House getting his d**k sucked by his interns while he sells our nuclear secrets for his own profit. They say the economy sucks right now because of Bush. That is somewhat correct, because our president is not committing TREASON by selling our secrets, not only risking the welfare of the US but the lives of others.

Clinton, and most democrats in general (Yes, I said that. The democratic party used to be a great party, now all it stands for is liberalism. Liberalism IS communism.) handle politics differently. If Clinton were still in office, the Taliban thing would not have happened because Clinton would still be sucking Osama and giving him $$$, guns, bombs, nukes, etc to shut him up and to profit himself.

You are going to see lots of waves made until the whole mess Clinton and the democratic liberals created is straightened out. Personal gains have become first priority, rather than the good of the nation. Until this is eliminated, war is imminent.

I do solemnly swear that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic, that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same: that I take this obligation freely, without any mental reservation or purpose of evasion, and I will well and faithfully discharge the duties of the office on which I am about to enter. So help me God.

War is no longer a defined enemy. It isn't a boogey man that jumps through your window. Right now, we are fighting a war. A war of corruption, a war of greed, traitors, and evil. Stalin vowed "America will be de destroyed from the inside out." It IS happening, people. It can only be stopped if we open our eyes.

I, for one, stand behind my country. I believe in my president. I believe the good of the country comes before personal gains, even if that means at my loss. I believe people should be treated fairly, and not "whoever has the most money gets priority." If requested, I will be on the front line, fighting the battle. I vote, pay taxes, and go to church. I do things for my community. I will help a fellow brother, even if it means giving until I cannot give anymore, for I have nothing to give. I will no longer be a spectator, but an achiever. I see no color, race, or sex. I will not be afraid, I will not be silenced, and I will not fail. I am an American.

Peace out everyone, I got a car to work on. Laterz

-Chris

Better we imprison ourselves then let others do it for us? I prefer neither thank you. Where Bush deserves credit, I will give it. Where he deserves a swift kick in the pants, I will give it too. No, this is not Clinton or Bush. It is what is right and what is wrong. It is wrong to give in to terrorism. It is wrong to give the goverment such power as to make us slaves in the name of security. It is the obligation of ANY President to safegard the rights AND lives of the people. Are they mutually exclusive? That remains to be seen. If they are, give me liberty. Now I understand better what Patrick Henry meant.

I think bush is a domestic enemy, he can and will do more damagae then any terrorist can ever do. He shreds the constitution in the oval office while people like you look the other way saying how f-ing moral he is. you can shove your morals where the sun dont shine as far as im concerend i'll never support that war mongging FUD distributer.

And views like yours Ameesh are ones that let convicted killers out on parole after 3 years in prison.

If it is wrong to believe it is right to declare war on a terrorist group that sets live dogs on fire, and is trying to take over the world in the same exact way as Hitler (With death and fear), then consider me wrong.

If it is wrong to believe it is right to declare war on Iraq, then I am wrong.

It is simple. There are countries out there that are not responsible enough to have nuclear weapons, because they have shown violent tendencies in the past. All they have to do is comply with not producing or storing them. That easy. If they want to violate it, then it is taken as a act of aggression. Don't whine about your oil embargo, or your casualties... it can be stopped simply with complying with the request. That is like giving Israel and Pakistan nukes. We'd all be dead.

There is only two ways to stop it. Give them money or use of force. Clinton used money. Bush uses force. Both are effective, but only one has any persistant effect.

You know, there's more that defines an administration than whose ass it kicks and how effectively the kicking is administered. I'm pretty much on the fence with the whole Iraq thing, but what about all the other crap that's going on? Your right to privacy is about to get tossed in the tree chipper and you need to take some pictures of the next nice blue sky you see because the Bush administration doesn't give a rat's ass about the environment either. I fail to see how things along these lines are not richly deserving of criticism.

typical tactic: lump your opponents in with the worst characters you can think of. Hitler is often brought up. Sorry, that tactic won't work here.

and the US has never shown aggression towards other countries?

uhhhh.... Israel and Pakistan have nukes.

morals.

I have to say that I strongly disagree with you there. President Bush's history is laced with questionable decisions, both in business and in life. I will agree that this latest incident with one government employee's offhand comment is being blown way out of proportion.

If Clinton were still in office, the Taliban thing would not have happened because Clinton would still be sucking Osama and giving him $$$, guns, bombs, nukes, etc to shut him up and to profit himself.
This statement irks me. First, your wording "would still be sucking Osama"(???), falls short of making sense, but to believe that ANY President would befriend or make attempts to appease the known leader of the terrorist orginization is a joke if taken lightly and insulting if taken seriously.

EDIT: It's cool how they use the fear of war to excuse spying on us too.

the commander in chief in action....yea from a moralistic, honest, caring man!!!!
and the man is so honest that's why Executive Order 13233 was signed by him!!!

============================================================

Upon graduating from Yale, Bush applied for a position in the Texas National Guard, a coveted spot that required only part-time military duties at home, far from the battlefields of Vietnam. Bush was catapulted to the front of 500 other applicants after a friend of his father, then a wealthy Houston congressman, phoned the Speaker of the Texas House, according to the Boston Globe.
After completing training as a pilot, George W. Bush requested and immediately received a transfer to an Alabama National Guard unit in May, 1972. But Bush never showed up for duty there, according to the Alabama unit's commander and the commander's assistant, who were interviewed by the Boston Globe .
Military records show that Bush's two commanding officers back in Texas reported George W. did not show up for duty there either for a year, and that they believed he had been transferred to Alabama. Meanwhile, when Bush failed to take his required annual medical exam in August, 1972, his pilot status was removed.
It should be noted that reporting for military duty is not something that's optional, particularly during a war. Those caught shirking National Guard duties were usually punished by being drafted into the real army - the one that landed you in Vietman, where some 350 American soldiers were killed each week. But, despite more than a year absent from duty, nothing happened to the well-connected George W. Bush.
Favouritism is a sore point among those who actually went to war, including U.S. Secretary of State Colin Powell. As Powell wrote in his autobiography: "I am angry that so many of the sons of the powerful and well-placed ... managed to wangle slots in Reserve and National Guard units ... Of the many tragedies of Vietnam, this raw class discrimination strikes me as the most damaging to the ideal that all Americans are created equal ..."

ah, yes...you also mentioned Hitler. As horrible a person as he was, he was, ironically, actually democratically elected, something Bush cannot claim.

Ironic you should post that; our forfathers created the constitution that you swear to uphold with the idea in mind that factions is what makes our society work. (Read: federalist paper 51) The ability to openly criticise the government and affect change through doing so is what makes this a great country.

America isn't trying to stop those people with death and fear is it? Violence begets violence begets violence, until the bigger/more powerful force wears the other to the ground.

There is a difference between a thoughtful criticism of the government and it's policies and endless postings of "Bush is a moron, Bush is a dufus!" etc. While it is every Americans right to think and say these things they certainly don't lead most people to think much of the person saying them and ideas they are espousing.

You're not actually saying that tax refund thing was a positive are you? It was an advance on your normal tax refund, no one actually got anything extra because of it. The money you got up front was directly taken away from the regular refund. Then you have the millions spent on letters telling people they were going to get money early, then the millions spent cutting the checks. It was a joke.

I agree with you, mindless critique that lacks substance is prevalent on both sides of the political fence, and is childish. I am sadened by the original post because it communicates in the same fashion. Monel's position in posting is defined by assumption, rhetoric, and partisan insults, not cold, hard fact. If you want to support or critique a president, at least have an accurate arsenal of information, preferably including a grasp of history.

PipBoy,

Was the tax cut associated with the refund a one year thing or are you getting the same benefit this year?
You might also be interested to know that it was the democrats that went for the early refund. That was not in Pres. Bush's orginal plan.
Deal with the facts son.
