Al Gore because I think George W. Bush is a lying snake. But I do wish Ross Perot would run again, he made the debates so much more fun, sigh. :)

You poor, poor, misguided soul of a woman.

Your choice is one of two snakes, I'll take the one from texas because they grow everything bigger in texas.

You'd think with all those illegitimate contributions from the Chinese government, and all that money his ancestors made off slave labor, Al Gore could afford to buy himself a bottle of Rogaine :p

My vote goes to George W. Bush :)

Well, when Bush can finally decide how long its been since he did drugs, instead of changing the time span every other day, then maybe he will be able to impress me. Until then, I will stick with the stiff guy, he at least seems as honest as a politician can possibly be. :)

Considering we are talking about drugs here, it may be awhile before he can truly remember....

For me though in all seriousness it depends on Bush claiming (and me believeing) he is pro-life. Thats reason enough for me to vote for him over Gore...and while some of you say a candidates personal life has no bearing on his political career well, I see it differently.

GWB

Because the GOP that backs him, believes that power is vested in private individual's...not big Government..:)

This thread could get ugly.

I'll go with Bush just because he hasnt sold secrets to the Chinese yet.

Thats treason, right? Prior to WWII they took you out back and
shot you for that sort of thing.

The Clinton legacy continues....

It disgusts me that soccer moms and other wishy-washy fence sitters are going to decide this election. They seem to base their decisions more on personality than anything else. Swell... :|

The ONLY things that should matter are the issues. Each party votes a certain way on each issue. Doesn't matter if a half-wit is elected. He'll simply veto or pass laws based on the party line. This ain't rocket science. And for damn sure shouldn't be a personality contest. As far as policy is concerned, it doesn't matter who slept with who, who smoked what or who has the whitest teeth. But that seems to be the biggest concern of the undecided voters. These people disgust me more than the dimwits on the other side of the isle. At least most of them know where they stand and why! :|

Gore is as dishonest as a politician can be. He will spout whatever nonsense that the people want to here. Hmm, who was that like? Ohhhh yeah, Clinton. A vote for Gore is a vote for Clinton, and Clinton is a big fat piece of cowdung.

Bush isnt much better, so I wouldnt vote for him either.

I think Ill write in Bill Gates. Then at least we can steal some stuff from other countrys instead of selling our own stuff :)

What we need in this country is a president who is half brain dead, been bailed out of all his mistakes and problems (with that silver spoon shoved up you know where), says and does exactly what his connected friends want.

Just remember that both sides had wonderful opportunities to choose integrity, and chose the politicans.

"It's clearly a budget. It's got a lot of numbers in it."
"Well, I think if you say you're going to do something and don't do it, that's trustworthiness."
"The most important job is not to be governor, or first lady in my case."
"I know how hard it is for you to put food on your family."

Its plain to see that both politicians are dirty liars and will do anything to be elected. Politics at their best...

Another thing that is plainly obvious to me is that both candidates take the generic non specific party stance on every issue. Since I'm neither partial to democrats or republicans that doesn't help my decisions any. Basically our country is gonna have a terrible president either way, so I'd choose the candidate that annoys me least. I'd have to say that they both fscking annoy me a lot which means I'd vote for any candidate on the ballot that has the coolest name. Yeah, something like PJ McWiddiger or something like that. Thomas J. Kickass...

This is probably futile, but hey.

While I realize none of us are going to vote for Harry Browne, those of you who want to consider yourselves informed voters should really check out the platforms of the less popular parties. In this case, I'm speaking of the Libertarian Party.

The libertarian party takes a rather hard-line approach to the constitution, bill of rights, and freedom in general. Their basic belief is that freedom is the most important thing, and other things come second.

Anyway, like all party's if they had there way, things would be a mess. But I firmly believe that american needs a more libertarian influence in politics.

To cast a vote for "Bush" or "Gore" or "Ralph Nader" or "Harry Browne" is ridiculous. At least vote for a party. Then you can tell your grandkids (who work for the government and are forced to give 90% of their earnings in taxes) you were actually concerned with issues. The sad joke today is that the democrats and republicans really don't care about policy anymore. They're both for big government (and if you buy the republicans's sales pitch that they aren't, you're crazed, they've proven they can't get the job done).

I'm with Buddha Bart and his choice of the Libertarian third-party. Some general political links:

Don't be an ass people! Fill out this questionnaire and see which candidate actually matches your own views on THE ISSUES!

I've found that Alan Keyes, Dick Cheney, Bush, John McCain and Harry Browne are right in line with how I want the issues voted on. The odd man out is Gore. Not even close on ANY of the important issues. How about you?

Harry Browne is in there now? Sweet. Last time I took the test, Bushlite and Bore were dead last for me. Yeah, Keyes was on top with McCain...Buchanan was in the middle if I remember correctly.
