I agree with the police. He held a deadly shard of glass, he could have hurt himself or others if they had gotten to close and tried to grab him.

Granted a taser doesn't exactly tickle either, it still was safer than the kid waving around a shard of glass.

Where did you hear this? AFAIK, it hurts but not necessaily kill.

There have been a few cases recently where people have died after being arrested. While tasers were used during attempts to subdue them, they certainly were not the primary cause.

Man, 6 years old was not like that for me, and it was only like 18 years ago. I don't think I would have been capable of threatening myself or someone else with the glass of a picture frame.

Activity like that needs the stun gun. It's like the baby rattlers or whatever, they always say they are more deadly than full grown rattlersnakes. They are younger so they don't know the damage some of their actions can cause. That kid needs some intensive therapy and strong discline.
