99.99% of all police interactions with citizens do not result in excessive force. Why do you feel every police interaction is a chance to die?

99.9999% of all police interactions with citizens do not result in harm to the police. Why do cops treat every interaction with citizens as if it could be their last?

See how that works in reverse, asshole?

I had a good joke all thought up about the Wheelchair Industrial Complex, but then read the article and became disgusted. As if I need to say it, there's something seriously fucked up with Policing in the US these days. Problem is, I don't even think this is really the problem with the Police, rather it is with the situation the Police have to deal with. Mortal danger is ever present, some of that is Real, some of that simply Perceived, either way Cops making bad choices ending in tragedy will continue until some fundamental change is made.

Oh, so you see this interaction as an issue of "mortal danger" to the police. Fucking how?

yeah, because cops never kill the bad guys
...

nice comparison, as as many people practically die by brain eating ameobas as terrorists...that article only solidifiea tge rarity of leo invovved deaths

Yes, so cops are more dangerous then brain eating amoebas as well.

Still, as an innocent person, I am 9 times more likely to be killed by cops then terrorists.

If we are going to worry, sounds like cops are a bigger threat then terrorism.

What did they paralyze him for then? He was called in for walking around and he couldn't speak english so the cop took him down and broke his neck. This is a clear cut case of a cop being an idiot. That is undeniable.

What are you talking about? The title is factual. What else happened besides a cop paralyzing a man, and what was he doing besides walking around the neighborhood?

His crime was having dark skin, and not speaking english. You're just too much of a tard to realize what is going on. Not sure why you post here, never seen you say anything but bullshit like this.

Isn't the job of the police to protect and assist people? Or is it their job to be proactive and aggressive?

It just shows you the actual true nature of man. Man is not what the colleges and universities, TV shows and the media tell you. Man is a racist, bigoted, ignorant, fearful and extremely selfish being. Just see the phone call to the police. It mentions the caller seeing a black person who the caller hasn't seen before; therefore, the fear automatically arises and that further pushes the bigotry and thus the phone call to the police. A lot of us are hiding our fears and ignorant attitudes.

In a good society, there would be no need for police, lawyers, judges. In a good society, every person would know what they have to do. Where is this society? Not here on Earth.

We can be and sometimes are, but we are also the opposite.

I'm sure you can rub enough brain cells together to explain why. Or do you need to wait for a rightwing blog to give you something to copy/paste from?

An Armed public which at times means they will be confronted unexpectedly by someone intending them harm.

What does that have to do with this incident? Are you saying the police suspected this old man was armed and intended them harm? Again, fucking how was this incident involved in mortal danger to anybody except the innocent man who was paralyzed?

Crazy, check this out:

The Fayetteville Observer reported that, outside the courtroom after the dismissal, Rogers jokingly offered Beatty a can of Arizona Ice Tea but Beatty refused to take it.

Officer even mocks the innocent man about it 2 years later after the charges were dropped. Officer should be fired for being a piece of shit.

No it doesn't. It was absent from this incident. Did you watch the video? Did you hear what the cops were saying and the way their voices sounded? They weren't on edge. They got angry because they weren't obeyed by somebody who they KNEW couldn't understand their orders. There was no fear involved, only one innocent guy and some assholes.

Yeah, that's a super dickish move after 2 years of attempting to get this man punished for doing nothing wrong. You'd think at some point, if this cop was a decent human being, he would have given up trying to hard this man. Nope.
