I'll definitely follow this one. The investigation/charges will likely take a while. Having two officers present, him already handcuffed?, Although I'm only seeing a fixed viewpoint, I have a hard time imagining why a full take down was performed. I think police can do something like that if the person pulls away from them to run away, but I didn't get that sense at all by looking at the video.

Where he may really get fucked is if he had no reason to detain him to begin with. That may reallllly fuck the officer.

Certainly a lot could happen in this incident.

I just think the guy didn't was understanding what the Officer was communicating. Just walking around while being Indian shouldn't be grounds for a stop and frisk. However this type of stuff is one reason why I never leave my house for a walk without my ID. Even though technically I am not required to have it. I know if ever stopped and questioned at 5am I can present ID that I live in the area.

We do seem to be building up more of these stories.

We need more statistical data. For example on the use of SWAT, number of no-knock warrants served, use of flash stun devices, firearm discharges and the shooting of pets. However it seems that Police Dept's are reluctant to collect this data.

It's probably not reluctancy, it's difficulty. But it is becoming easier to implement because most large agencies are becoming paperless.

I'll stand my ground and say there is no data supporting police are increasing their abuse of citizens. I think it is awareness which is increasing.

What people fail to understand, is that if we had this same level of awareness over the last 15-20 years, we would have a much different perspective of police now vs. then.

Do you think it has anything to do with the increasing prevalence of video recording devices in society? Both hand-held (IE Cell Phone) and the increasing amount of businesses and even residents that are recording video around their property or business.

Your argument is basically "If people could only see how we treated the public before these cameras, they would realize we've always been this brutal!!"

Maybe so. Doesn't mean we have to tolerate it anymore, asshole.

i think if convicted (bahahahahahahah yeah right) cops should get minimum 20 years in jail for stunts like this.

they should know the law, and abide by it.

i agree it's very very possible cops have always been dicks.

more cameras more evidence.

I've actually begun to lay down and put my hands behind my back when I am in the vicinity of a cop.

If I am driving and see a cop, I pull over and remove the keys from the car, and place them on the roof, until I know I am not being targeted.

Simple precautions can prevent a lot of these unfortunate outcomes, yet ignorant people remain defiant, and end up getting hurt.

Yup, don't understand english and make minute muscle movements and you get your neck broken.

When people who don't understand english enter this country, there has to be some sort of badge sewn onto their clothing so that police can identify them and implement proper protocol for handling them.

This would protect both the police and the foreigners.

Yup, the man simply not being able to clearly speak english isn't enough for this moron cop it literally needs to be sewn into the man's cloths for the cop to get it... or the man's neck be broken.

I will openly debate with people, because I'm grown enough to know I can be wrong. I have been wrong before. Unfortunately I will just have to ignore you because your forum existence is simply to troll. Enjoy living in your delusions
So you mean you will openly lie and exaggerate...........

Dude quit being pro-Police!! Its been reported nationwide that Police departments DO NOT report all instances or even a fraction of incidents related to abuse!!

NO we cannot wait on a corrupt justice system......we must be pro-active.

I agree. Nobody should discuss this or form any opinions. We are all too stupid to watch a video and determine whether or not the actions taken in the video were evil horseshit or not. We will rely on the superior intellect, unquestionable honesty and totally non-cronyism of the good men and women in our legal system to sort this out for us. Thank you government! I love you big brother!

Should get life in prison, a civil suit for everything he and his family owns, and the city should be sued to shit.

I haven't had a problem with many in over a a couple decades till about 6 months ago.

The last one I ran into was being a twit, I think he actually got his gun out at one point when I was walking home from a bar.

I sat down in a driveway, the wife was away and I had went to a pub here, I still think the bartender was an off-duty cop and might have drugged my beer even to be serious about it.

Serious as shit, I was fine one minute then felt like shit shortly after, I'm not a drinker that tips over after 4 or 5 beers in two hours, I was just there for the band.

I walked up to the road to another bar, bought a pitcher outside, was having a good time with about 6 other people for about 5 minutes and for no reason someone from inside came out and said I was cut off and took my fucking glass and I asked the others at the table at the time who looked shocked wtf was that and they had no clue.

This networking thing even in bars seems to be getting way out of hand to me, obviously someone from one bar to another sent a message, I think the asshole in the first bar thought I would get in my car and drive home, I left it there and started walking.

I think I was trying to be set up for a DUI, they can kiss my ass, I pissed off law enforcement that evening, I do not drink and drive.

I had planned on calling a taxi to go home when I went out anyways, that plan got fucked up.

Had even hurt my ankle in a bad spot in a construction area where there was normally a sidewalk, and got up and kept going.

So I continued walking home, a cop came out of no where starts asking me a ton of questions, I sat on the ground and about all I said was "What the fuck do you want me to do?" at that point.

The mother fuckers had basically given me no option than to walk home, and this bastard was screwing with me, I pretty much made it very plain I had no other option than to try to walk back to my house at that point and get off my back.

I think someone on the radio might have finally told him to shut the fuck up, he kept asking what he should do more or less, he ended up putting me in the car and driving me home.

It was that or take me in for nothing, which might have been a bad thing on his end.

I've another case I could bring up too I should sue over a few years ago, but I won't even get into that one on reflection.

Hinduphobia....

Exactly what it is.

Most people just deny such a thing exists and instead show 'solidarity' with those seemingly affected by "Islamophobia" or "anti-Semitism"; as if those are any more existent than Hinduphobia.

This is an excellent article by Prof. Juluri on this very issue of Hinduphobia in light of this assault on this hapless Hindu in Alabama: Hinduphobia

The cop was only arrested because the victim is an Indian national - not a US citizen. India has officially lodged a complaint and it is now an international matter; a citizen of India has been seriously victimized and injured.

Cops everywhere are violent. Cops in America are brutal and violent to a much greater degree since America has a long history of violence and barbarity as a society.
