Actually I suspect she'll probably be fine. It sounds like she had a clear grasp of the situation, understood that it was wrong, and acted to prevent the worst from happening more than once. It's just messed up that she has to live with those people (or had to until now, anyway). Take them away from her and put her in the right environment and she'll be ok.
