says the student defended himself, cutting off the man's hand and causing a severe laceration to his upper body.

I guess he didn't have a scalpel. Or sutures.

This article is a nice slice of life in Baltimore. That city isn't very sharp when it comes to public safety. Even their baseball team can't hack it these days. Hell, I think Detroit is a cut above. As for this sharp kid, he took a stab at the cities problems.

very nice heart warming story, made my day! But at the same time i feel bad for the poor guy, he killed another human - he has to live with it for the rest of his life, i am sure his life must has changed beyond our comprehension... may god give him the strength to get over it soon
