I searched and couldn't find anything so thought I would post this. Cousin sent me this and thought it was a good watch if you can get over the melodramatic tone of the narrator.

Basically in 2002 some protest in Portland was there and later, they pepper sprayed the crowd (and ended up getting a baby), hit them with sticks and shot with those rubber bullets. Later the media blamed it on people throwing bottles and that it turned into a riot. Then the police released this footage and you can hear them prepping the storm in on the crowd way before they do with no bottles being thrown. I was just wondering how whipped the media is about reporting these things and how many protests were really 'out of hand.'

I was pretty disgusted they pepper sprayed families who were there, didn't look like anything was out of hand other than cuss words. 😀

I am sure this is a repost of some kind though.
 
Freedom of assembly doesn't really exist in America. Like a lot of our "rights."

I feel like one of those dumbass nutjobs saying that, but really it is true. Especially in cities. You need permits and whatnot, and even with permits they have every excuse to shut you down. Think of all the times this right has been violated and all the times no accountability is taken for it.

OK, that riot control was over the top.

Nobody had any business bringing a 3-year kid into that type of crowd either. That was totally and completely irresponsible -- borderline criminal.

"A Shoot the Pigs Production"?! That's way the hell over the top as well.

The narrator is in dire need of a Red Bull.

Anyway, bringing a baby wouldn't be irresponsible if the function was peaceful. I have little doubt that the pigs started it and finished it.

It was posted on the internet. Therefore it must be completely true and unbiased, faithfully telling both sides of the story. No doubt the cops brought that guy down for no reason whatsoever because that's what cops do as a rule.

What a stupid ass video. They are recording the people who are covering their faces because those are the ones that go around breaking windows. But of course to the narrator it is all about creating a police state.

Stop breaking windows and this wouldn't be a problem...
 
You know what is even more amazing is that there have been countless protests againstt the Iraq war link and despite the fact that everyone walks around with a video camera or cell phone on them that the best the 'police state' crowd can do is find one video from 2002 that shows the police going over board.

If we really had a problem in this country don't think we would see a little more evidence of it?

But you see, if you stop invading countries that never attacked us, you are only appeasing the protesters. Regardless of what the government does, they'll find a reason to protest anyway.

So far we have three links/stories about the police being 'bad' and all three of them are from Democrat strong holds. Why is that?
