All the police checkpoints I've been through only asked to see my driver's license. A few have asked if I've been drinking but that's it. No asking to see my registration or proof of insurance. Do they just not do this or what?

On what terms? I've been through 5 or 6 so far and none have asked for them?

no they don't.
i have been in a few myself. about 60% of the time they ask for my registration and insurance.
Me too. I not only get stopped at regular checkpoints and asked, but have also been stopped for "suspicious behaviour".....whatever that is. After the second stop by the same State Trooper along the same stretch of road, I refused to let him search the car. He didn't care for that response and commotion ensued. There were 5 State cars, with dogs, with me handcuffed over the hood of my car, within 3 minutes.but I'm a longhair.
