bradruth pwning people is indeed amusing, but not thread-worthy.

I don't believe you have the right to deem what is thread-worthy and not thread-worthy at 671 posts.

You think a man is defined by his post count? That explains a lot.

Is that the best comeback you can come up with?

Let's stay on topic...

In case you forgot what the topic was, let me refresh your memory.

You uttered some crap about Miranda rights.

Bradruth corrected you.

You made some sarcastic remark about how having a cop avatar doesn't make someone an officer. It was done in a condescending fashion, because anyone who pretends they're a member of a certain profession based on their avatar is a friggin douchebag.

Bradruth agreed, and then told you he was actually a cop.

You turned around, when the pwning was brought to light, and painted it all as some headgame. Even though you have no idea what you're talking about.

Shall we continue?

Bradruth didn't correct me on the Miranda rights and please define the Miranda rights for everyone. Then we will see who was right and who was wrong. As for the post count I believe you were the on who used that to your defense.

Read a few posts up, Einstein. It's right there.

Shall we continue? I'll need to get my high heels, my foot is getting way too far up your ass.

Okay then where in the definition was I wrong? I said and I quote ?If a person is not just a witness therefore not free to leave and therefore in custody, they need to be read their rights at which point do I have this wrong??

Your definition of in custody is incorrect, young grasshopper.

Please define custody?

# The state of being detained or held under guard, especially by the police: took the robbery suspect into custody.

Source

And considering how dismal your vocabulary is, here's the link to the definition of detained.

My friend you just sunk your own ship and probably dont even realize it. Now lets start with detained- To keep from proceeding; delay or retard. Now do you think that the young man in question was free to leave, just walk away while the cop was questioning him?

Now custody: The state of being detained or held under guard, especially by the police.

Thank you for all your help in proving me right. If you cannot see it you never will goodnight everyone Im sure there will be another show very soon.

You've misinterpreted it, my love.

Singing in place of the fat lady does not create a properly ended game!

To detain an individual, in this context, requires physically detaining them (ie, inside a police car, in handcuffs at the very least.) Earlier you even stated you had made an errorby thinking the individual was in handcuffs, which would imply that you also believe that to eb detained would involve being handcuffed, as that is a precursor for the Miranda rights being required.

Now, I'll take a page out of your book.

Oh my, I win the argument. Thank you, your own facts have borught about your downfall. I am completely right, you are wrong. I'm sure your silly posts will start another argumenmt in the near future (hey, at 33 piss poor posts a day... it's bound to happen!)

Thanks for playing, dumbass.

I iused the very definition you gave me:

de·tain ( P ) Pronunciation Key (d-tn)
tr.v. de·tained, de·tain·ing, de·tains
To keep from proceeding; delay or retard.
To keep in custody or temporary confinement: The police detained several suspects for questioning. The disruptive students were detained after school until their parents had been notified.
Obsolete. To retain or withhold (payment or property, for example).

I used the very definition you gave me:

de?tain ( P ) Pronunciation Key (d-tn)
tr.v. de?tained, de?tain?ing, de?tains
To keep from proceeding; delay or retard.
To keep in custody or temporary confinement: The police detained several suspects for questioning. The disruptive students were detained after school until their parents had been notified.
Obsolete. To retain or withhold (payment or property, for example).

Where in there does it say include your personal definition ?To detain an individual, in this context, requires physically detaining them (ie, inside a police car, in handcuffs at the very least.)?

I can?t win if you make all the rules that is why I asked you for the definition which you gave me then I called you on it and you decide to change the definition to fit your needs.

I really dislike that Hbalzer guy with a passion as I have stated before and it's nice to see him get owned.

I?ll give you a hint it wasn?t Bradruth and it wasn?t me.

To keep in CUSTODY...

It's written in plain english right there.

Go to a cop, and ask him what it means to be taken into custody... Hint: it doesn't involve standing around being asked questions.

So let?s look at your definition of custody:

cus?to?dy P Pronunciation Key (k s t -d )
n. pl. cus?to?dies
1. The act or right of guarding, especially such a right granted by a court: an adult who was given custody of the child.
2. Care, supervision, and control exerted by one in charge. See Synonyms at care.
3. The state of being detained or held under guard, especially by the police: took the robbery suspect into custody.

Now again was the person in question free to leave at any time?
Also note no mention of police car, handcuffs or any other type of ?physically detaining? in either definition.
