You would not want to go between these poles.

This thread needs a pole. 😛

I think there's already enough pole(s) in this thread 😛

What movie is that from? It almost looks like a screenshot from the Cube 3 movie, but I don't remember a trap with two poles.

Oh yea, and you people up there blathering about "toll this" and "avoid the toll" and such.... It's not a toll lane. It's a BUS ONLY lane that's closed to passenger cars and light trucks.

Another British stupid idea. Why do they need to cause accidents just to keep cars out of the bus lanes?

Because the people arguing against these rising poles can't use facts or logic. Instead, they have to appeal to your emotion to win the debate. As soon as you include facts or logic, they either ignore you, or they leave the thread.

A few minor accidents like this saves MANY critical accidents where people died. Which do you pick? Of course, you pick many accidents with people dying instead of having people follow the clearly marked signs.

And this isn't just a British idea.

my thoughts exactly. Why not jump the curb with one side of the car and simply go around the barrier?

Here's another idea. How about obeying the freaking traffic laws.

HEY! If we wanted a rational idea, we'd ask for one!

🙂

Oh riiiiight... can't have any of that here... 😛

That is incredibly unsafe. Whatever city has that is retarded and I'm surprised that's not illegal. Is that for some retarded toll? They're willing to hurt people over some 25 cent toll?

It doesn't look to be a toll, but rather a bus-only lane. It seems like the buses are the only ones able to lower the poles.
