Pole vaulter lands on head at Big Ten meet...Dies

such a tragedy. i have pole vaulted for the past 8 years or so and its not something you ever really think about. i had some bad falls, but luckily never anything career ending. however, my senior year of vaulting at college (last year), my coach made us start wearing helmets after one of my high school friends hit her head vaulting and was in a coma for a while.
 
yea, up here at Penn State we are pretty much shocked. This is like the 5th PSU student who has died this semester. Real sad.

Maybe you're not terrible but you're not to sensitive about it either. His family was in the stands too. 🙁
