So what exactly would need to "happen" for you to not accept the results?

I tried to answer your question, but in all fairness we would need a crystal ball to predict what MIGHT happen and, accordingly, whether or not we would accept the results. I also take exception to the way the question is phrased - what exactly does it mean to "accept the results" anyway? I firmly believe that absent a number of discrete acts of partisanism and jury-rigging in Florida in 2000, Al Gore would have been President, and God knows I would have preferred that, but I still "accept the results," and that Bush was in fact elected President.

I know, your reply was just fine. I posed the question to the people who posted with little to no thought. I'd like to know what would trigger a change in their minds.

Odd question to say the least.

Teller: Ok! I guess I agreed to accept it, didn't I? Hahaha you're so sneaky!

What a dumb question this is. Almost as dumb as this little scene I wrote.

Evidence of voter fraud which had a high likelihood of effecting the outcome of the election.

Firstly, Hello CAD

Secondly, just like in um... previous elections you may recall... we always accept the person who takes the oath... the actual election... well that remains to be counted and perhaps recounted...

Racism.... dang.. I've not a thing against McCain regardless of his history and that he's not really an Irish Catholic... I'd vote for him if he were, of course.. I don't think that fact should affect the election.. I think the positions they espouse versus the fact that neither are Irish Catholics should enter into it...

edit: the last sorta sentence is written that way on purpose... :D

All this rheoric is coming from you and your right-wing cronies. Unfortunately, this election will be on FACTS, i.e. a Democrat in the white house.

Hey mr.peanutbutter...

That's all great and fine but "we always accept the person who takes the oath" is not true at all. Just look around here and see who still has "Bush isn't my President" in their sig. Sure, it's not as many now as it was in early 2005 but many here still will never consider him the President.
The point here is what will it take for people to cross over from the standard acceptance to dismissing the results? Obviously fraud is one way but it's never really proven - it's usually innuendo and conspiracy BS(see Diebold)

You quoted me, looks like you are palling around with trolls.

On-to the topic: No I won't accept a McCain win. This country doesn't need some 72 year old who can't think straight and has a high chance of death.

I suppose one can say anything in their sig or in forums or elsewhere but at the end of the day they have accepted Bush if ya think about it... By saying 'he's not MY president' implies he is some one's and if he is then he is everyone's... heheheh I've no doubt the 2000 election was a farce in one state at least but Bush won cuz the SCOTUS enabled that to occur... and they are our Supreme Court.
Anyhow, I guess accept is a broad word in this case... and you mean... Regardless, just hush up now .. it is over. OK, I'll buy that.
