Poking holes on front panel connector?

If the connector doesn't match up with the pin layout mechanically, have you already determined if it matches up from an electrical perspective?

The answer to your question is no, nothing bad is going to happen but I'm just saying that you should make sure in the end that the wires will match up with the proper pins. You could of course swap the wires around if you have the means to release the terminals from the connector should that be necessary.
