Well, I believe you, but they aren't crediting it (just the other line I quoted). I guess I'll bookmark the thread, curious now to what it's from.

Good! I'm glad I'm not the only one.

The entire song sounds not only derivative, it sounds like a mishmashed link of copied tunes and riffs.

I know I've heard this before, I'm thinking 90s europop song. Anyone?

Supposedly only the Bony M Ma Baker line "'muh muh muh mah" was sampled, the rest is original work (so claimed).

THAT'S the part I'm talking about. It's a rip of some euro dance/trance song from the late 80s/90s

Yes, and unfortunately, every time I turn the radio on in my car, this song happens to be playing.

I think the waterboarding is done during break time. After 15 minutes it's back to Poker Face. Somewhere in the Geneva Convention, I think. Probably the back.

Because nobody listens to her.

yes... a song from 5 years ago... and it happens to be epic.

not like the screeching that people consider the crap that spews from the pieholes of some of today's singers

I don't listen to a Radio(Internet) station that plays that song, but I fnd myself liking it. I'd never buy the Album, but it's a catchy tune that would fit right in a Dance Club. I'm more a Rock and Alternative Rock fan.

Not sure why you tools are bitching so much about the song. It is definitely in the same league as many Britney Spears songs. Not my type of music anyway, but I am tired of Euro/Techno bashing.

Yeah, I said the same thing to my wife - that chorus sounds really similar to another song, but I just can't place it. 0:33 - 0:49 sounds like she stole that from Fergie. I think the puh-puh-puh part needs to be digitized Cher-style or something, it sounds terrible. Catchy song though.

The same thing could've been said 5 years ago when American Idiot came out. :) As much I like the title song and earlier stuff from Green Day, I switch radio stations whenever I heard that song. And I still hear it more than I care to. Damn whiny kids.

I've heard statements similar to that stated ever since I've started listening to music (and I'm sure before that). I.e. the current music is not as good as it used to be.

Getting old sucks doesn't it? ;)

Erroneous! The guys from Green Day are in their 30s, and their original fans are also in their 30s or darn near it. They made good music back then, and they still do.

I think Lady Gaga has talent. She could use her talent to make good music, but instead she uses it to make popular music. I don't fault her for that. Her music is not my style, but I recognize why it is appealing to many people.

The only problem is that pretty much everything they release sounds exactly the same ;)
