Good luck.

Our last tournament had 15 people at a $40 buy-in. We had a great time.

Had this maniac at Party last night, raising and clearly bluffing 2/3 of the pots, but nobody was gutsy enough to call him except me. Sad part is, his crappy play worked and he made off with +$35 at a .50/1 table. The only three times we went heads up he sucked me out two times. The worst was when I raised preflop with AQs, and he calls with 78o -- because we all know the motto at Party: Any Two Will Do. :) Flop comes 7A3, I bet him hard the whole way, but he draws to the river to get two pair... Long term I know guys like that will be making my car payment for me, but still that kinda crap just sucks in the short term. :p

I really want a local poker game. Are there any tips on finding local places where poker is available in a state where gambling is illegal? :p

afaik its not illegal unless there is a house that is taking a cut so just ask your friends if they know of anyone that has a game?

Nah, none of them know. I say 'poker' and their eyes gloss over. Such is the life in the bible belt.
