Pokemon Go!

Anyone else playing this and not embarrassed to let others know? I started playing a few days ago and it was super buggy, but the latest update really helped a lot.

So far, I haven't spent any money and see no incentive to do so.

What I will say is that holding a gym for the 20+ hours needed to accrue Pokecoins is basically impossible where I live. The gym changes teams every 3-8 hours no matter how CP1200 or level 20-something trainers hold it.

It's a shame training doesn't level your Pokemon either. That's always been a core focus of the lore, hasn't it?

Surprisingly, it's got me out walking and biking every single day, sometimes multiple times per day... so that's probably good for me... until I get hit by a car.

no idea.. but i need help

i got some high CP Doduo, 1xx vs 10-20 regular, should I keep those to evolve and how many do i need?

I evolve 1 Dudou to 226 Dodrio, It doesnt evolve anymore.. lvl up ? Should I choose the highest CP one to evolve ?

From what I've read, it doesn't matter what order you choose to "Power Up" or "Evolve". Your trainer level is what determines the CP of random pokemon. So that's why level 18 trainers have like 1200CP pokemon.

My advice - based upon advice of others and my own experience - always keep ONE of each pokemon of the highest CP. "Transfer" all the duplicates to get candies. Eventually you will find either a really rare pokemon or one with a naturally high CP that you will want to spend candies and stardust to max out.

I just cash out the shop bonus the minute I move a pokemon into a gym. I know the likelihood of me ever having 2 pokemon in different gyms simultaneously is pretty slim. Maybe once the popularity dies down it will be possible to hold them longer. But gyms never hold that long like you said. Move in, cash out, wait 24 hours and take over another gym, etc.

Awesome... good to know.. Im at lvl 10, start getting 3xx cp pokemons..

For what it's worth, I caught a 420CP Pigeot at level 7, by far the best one I've found. I just hit level 9 and now am starting to see 200-250CP pokemon pop up with some regularity. Getting a super badass pokemon seems to be entirely luck-based.
