I'm kinda hooked. Sad that it will take me 2 years to get to a point that most kids will get by next Wednesday.

This really blew up this weekend, even the local radio station was talking about it.

Biggest video game fitness trend since the Wii Fit? While there will be those that game the system, I think it's great if this is actually getting people up and walking around outside - and so far, it is. I took the dogs on their regular 15 minute walk at 9:30 pm last night through my quiet suburban neighborhood and saw at least a dozen kids wandering around playing still. If it gets people moving I'm all for it.

Assuming they don't get hit by cars or walk off bridges, but ya know. Price of progress.

With so many people going outside now crime is going to go through the roof! Stock up on guns and ammo folks...

criminals are going to have to get more creative at hiding their tracks now that people are outside again

Saw a girl that worked at BurgerKing walking outside, holding her phone funny, and smiling like an idiot. Talking to a friend? Selfie? Oh... Pokémon I bet. If this fad keeps going, there's sure to plenty of lulz for all. Darwin awards, fail videos, broken phones. It should be a banner year :^D

These eggs are kinda pissing me off. I have one at 1.95km out of 2km. I also had one at 3.0km out of 10km. Now the 3.0 is at 3.2km and the 1.95 is only at 1.98.

How did I gain a whole .2km on one egg, but only .03km on the other egg in the same time period?

I'll stay off the lawn as long as I can, but if there's a wild squirtle there its mine... and any amount of cane waving isn't going to stop me :colbert:

The hilarious bit is that this is basically introducing augmented reality to millions of people who otherwise wouldn't have touched it.

I can't help but feel a bit of sympathy for Ingress players: they'd waited years for the day their game would hit the mainstream, only to watch as Pokemon Go (admittedly, based in no small part on Ingress ideas) completely destroys it overnight. It's like holding a candle for an unloved indie band and then having to grit your teeth as they change their sound and hit the top 40.

Isnt it Ingress to begin with?
