Poison ivy anyone?

I have never come in contact with it myself but damn does it reallyget that bad or is it because he was itching it and spreading it you think?

he might have been brsuh cutting or clearing of some sort. that's the only real way someone would get it that bad without doing some stupid stunt like Steve-O would pull

that doesnt look like poison ivy at all.

itching it doesnt cause it to spread.

if he had it systemic it would just go wherever it wanted.

When I was a kid in CT, I got it every year. I don't think it's here in the People's Republic.

If it is, I've never seen it.

I just had my first contact with it. Painfully itchy at first, but now it just looks like mosquito bites with the proper treatment.

Man I used to get that BAD every year.

They eventually had me drinking poison Ivy extract to build up an immunity.

They I moved away, and NOW i have to deal with Poison oak...

It's not as bad though IMO.

I guess we are immune to it. It's about the only plant I'm not allergic to! I can't cut grass, or be around xmas trees, and just brushing up against any type of pine needles makes big welts on my hands and after a while, I don't feel too good.

We have a guy that cuts our grass and I was outside tearing this vine stuff off my TV tower, and he comes up and says, "Hey! That's poison Ivy!!" I had been tearing the stuff off the back of the house for almost 23 years, and it never did anything to me. I tell him I have no problems with it, and he starts tearing it loose from around the back door, thinking it must be ok.

The next day, I see him at the grocery store and he has Poison Ivy. LOL.

No wonder I was the only one of the three of us that didn't get it riding mini bikes in the state forest when we were kids. My friends were totally miderable. I burned the crap out of my leg the next week. I would have rather had PI. No more shorts for me when riding.
