key controversies!

the ONLY agenda is to kill reform at all costs!
death panels are a LIE!
half of congress doesnt even believe it!

illegal immigrants, will not apply to the illegals!

someone said LIE!

no fed funding for abortions.

why I like ABC, rather interesting discussion between gibson and their resident dr about MA health care reform that has given coverage to more but increased cost to a detrimental point at the start of coverage.

We will FORCE you to have health insurance. We will FORCE business to provide health insurance.

YES

Unless you waive your right to have ER coverage w/o paying, you shouldn't be allowed to go w/o it.

If hospitals can't reject you for not being insured/being able to afford the service, you shouldn't be able to go w/o insurance.

"It's a LIE!"

Give that man a medal.

Link or STFU.

Factcheck says none of the HR3000 covers illegals, it's spelled out in the bill PER SE.

H.R. 3200: Sec 246 ? NO FEDERAL PAYMENT FOR UNDOCUMENTED ALIENS Nothing in this subtitle shall allow Federal payments for affordability credits on behalf of individuals who are not lawfully present in the United States.

how would you NOT be forced to choose it?

self sufficient, and premiums only... plus the fines for those who dont have it, and other ways...

A sneak peek at Obama's speech reveals the following specific points, which sound really great, but the end game is the same - single payer, government controlled, healthcare and all the problems that go along with that.

1) Insurance can no longer use pre-existing conditions, by law
2) Insurance can no longer have lifetime maximums and out of pocket maximums will be capped low, by law
3) Insurance can no longer drop your coverage, by law
4) Insurance must cover preventative and routine procedures, at little or no cost, by law
5) Public option - it's there for you if you switch jobs, want it, or just need it
6) Those making under 3-4 times poverty level and under will get public option for "free"

It sounds so perfect, doesn't it? Points 1-4 regarding insurance describe what is actually available today, it describes some of the best insurance plans available. Likewise these plans are pretty darn expensive. Now, BY LAW, insurance plans must be super-duper cadillac plans. What do you think that is going to do to everybody's premiums?

That's right, make them so damned expensive that you have no other "choice" but to go to the public option. Oh, and how are we going to pay for all this?

Nope.

1-4 isn't available today. My wife was denied every insurance carrier by the state of Florida.

Go F yourself.

The kid must be 14 years old and never bought insurance in his life.

Virtually ALL health insurance plans have annual and lifetime caps - I'm paying insurance myself (grad student) and my cap is 5M lifetime. Before grad school I had United Health through my employer and that had annual and lifetime caps.

Currently you have to disclose pre-existing conditions and your premium and overall qualification is determined for that.

"No one will be forced to choose it....... they argue they can't compete with the government " , of course not, everyone will be free to keep or pick a private insurance company. That is until those insurance companies all go bankrupt from having to cover everyone no matter how expensive their medical cost become or what pre-existing medical conditions they have. Then the government will be the only insurance option.

"I will make sure that no government or insurance company bureaucrat interferes with the health care you need",and right after I do that, I will announce my candidacy for the role of God.

Because hospitals don't have a choice to reject you when you arrive at the ER. Your "choice" is why my insurance premium went up from 91 to 112/mo in the last 12months - I'm paying your "choice" not to insure, but still get emergency coverage.
