I'm unaware of any place on the planet that'll give a 48hr time offset. I could be wrong though. What's the maximum time offset possible? I'm sure whatever it is involves a quirk of geography and political boundaries.

I think different when seeking possible answers.
15 years ago, I was in a training class with 40 or so other public safety people. They presented a thought puzzle using an episode of Sherlock Holmes, then broke us into groups to work out our answer. When we got back in class and presented our answer the instructors looked at each other. Apparently no other class had gotten the answer right. In the group, I was the one who proposed the answer and the others looked a bit shocked, but agreed.
And no, I had not seen that episode before.

I have an extremely exaggerated startle response that can be trigger by any sound or movement I wasn't expecting.
I had to warn the people at the dentist's office today about that. I was just there for a consultation but the guy who referred me has experienced it first hand.
For whatever reason, most dentists seem to have the patient chair looking away from the door. There have been two times with him where, just by walking into the room, my body snapped to a protective posture and I screamed like a little girl.
As it turns out, this is apparently one of the hallmarks PTSD. I'd have to check but I think the strength, magnitude, whatever of the response is proportional to the trauma.
I've certainly experienced enough physical and emotional trauma to justify my response. The odd thing is that none of those cause any sort of emotional response when deliberately (or otherwise) called to mind.

Seems like some sort of cerebral issue. What about watching things in motion in real life? Maybe you have gotten sensitive to the refresh rate? In which case, 120Hz screen may help? If not related to refresh rate, describe what funny thing happens.

Three trips out into the world in August, two in September, two in October, two in November. Hoping for only one in December. Would be nice for only one in January, but less likely then.
Bought gas for both vehicles in July. Then bought gas for one of them in November and will have to gas the other one up in December. Total gas purchases for the year total $336 plus probably $40 or so for the next one.

I was browsing the salty licorice selection from a company I buy from, and I looked at some of the other stuff they sell. Best I can tell, the company's founded and run by east Asians, and located in Finland. They sell Scandinavian goods. Anyway, this instant oatmeal got my attention...
Ok, I suppose we have a typo, but cinnamon and cheese? Sounds weird, but I'm intrigued. I read further, and come across this bit of interesting info...

That's where Spot stays in the winter. You can kind of see her in there. There's somenold robes from my daughter for blankets, and a little bit of thermal bubblewrap that was shipped with stuff I bought.
That would be amatzingly warm if it were upsidedown with a hole cut in the side, but I opted against that, cause who the hell wants to go in a hole without knowing what's on the other side? Also, with a single hole, you can't see what's going on, and analyze potential threats. I think I made the right call trading comfort for security, but I think about it every time I look at the box. Spot seems to like though, so that's what really matters.

Based on this listing I'm inclined to think it was meant to say "cinnamon roll". This does remind me of the time I had an Indian co-worker teach me to say "You remind me of a lump of foul-smelling cheese" in urdu so I could mess with a Pakistani co-worker. There is a local controversy over an interest in Krampus, an old German Christmas time tradition. There's an upcoming parade, and the Catholic Church weighed it on it. Because, you know, they stand on such high moral ground. There is a local news station (News 4 San Antonio) really stirring the pot, with several posts a day. Not sure if Krampus is becoming a big thing elsewhere?
