Buncha' real braniacs Amazon has for shoppers.

When you review something, you might get questions sent to your email from other shoppers. That 'Ask a question' thing on the listings?

I did one about an auxiliary light for a car.

As someone who owns ... , can you help this fellow customer?

"how do i connect it to my battery?"

Speaking of brightness of amazon shoppers, there was this listing for a 12v light bulb that used the same socket as a 120v light bulb. Not the smartest design, but it was funny seeing all the reviews of people saying it blew the first time they went to use it. Then there was another review that said "guys these are 12 volts". I thought it was pretty comical.

For RV usage only?

^ Except RVs don't use regular household sockets for 12V. It was just a misguided idea to make a (E26?), 12V bulb.

Then again that's why you read the specs but if I found some random E26 bulb lying around with no markings, I'd assume it's 120V.

Remember when Amazon Prime meant that you'd get the item in 2-3 days? Just put it in your cart and click buy.

Now, they have the item in stock, page states delivered TODAY, but then once in cart, $3 to do that, or else delivered on the 24th.

IF I put another item in cart to get above $25, WITH Prime, suddenly they can get both items to me within the next 6 hours for free.

I didn't need the items delivered today, but WTF is the point of prime, when I could have ordered over $25 to get free shipping w/o Prime, and gotten the items by the 24th anyway, with them sitting on the order for a few days at that, because these items must be at the local dist. hub already, in order to be able to get them delivered within the next 6 hrs.

I get it, free, prioritized shipping isn't really free and the difference IS that I get the items today, but that's not what Prime used to be.

Edit: ... time lapse... they got the order delivered today. Still kinda fishy like they are reneging on Prime being free, expedited shipping with no minimum, by just excluding items they don't feel like including even though that's what their product page suggested, and that there is no technical reason why they couldn't include them and deliver within 2-3 days, as they proved today.

Silly price tricks.

Big Lots has those "Ice' brand flavored drinks for $0.95, buy four, get one free, so five for $3.80 or $0.76 each.

But they also have an 18 pack for $12.99 or $0.72 each

Main decision maker for some I guess is that the bulk pack is shrink wrapped with four each of three flavors, no mix and match like you could do with the individuals.

But I had two coupons, one for $10 off a $40 purchase and another for $15 off a $75 purchase. Since they stack, I got $25 off the $75 purchase.

How is it a price trick? Seems completely normal to save more per unit by buying a larger multi-pack, or when you buy a larger quantity single pack container like with spices.

Problem is storage and shelf life. I can't store an 18pk of everything, nor would I use an 18pk of many things within the next year or two. Drinks, sure I could if they're more than just sugarwater, in which case I'd rather just mix my own kool aid or whatever fruit drink instead.

What's with the low sodium V8 on Amazon? Does it really cost that much more to NOT put as much salt in? 24pk regular sodium, $11 right now, normally around $14:

24pk low sodium, $26, or $16 if you buy 4 x 6 packs and that's about as cheap as it ever gets on Amazon:

I just buy the regular sodium, then when I grow tomatoes every year, I freeze the (majority) excess, separating the fluid from the pulp when they're thawed, and make tomato juice ice cubes out of them to keep the V8 cold and dillute the sodium.

That's because "Low Sodium" is the "Specialty" model of the product, and thus carries the premium.

I remember about a decade ago, Lays potato chips rolled out 'reduced sodium' chips.

Yup, it was more expensive than the regular Lays for having less ingredients.

New CC coming in a plain white non-descript unmarked #10 envelope.

Thing is, about the only things that come in a plain white non-descript unmarked #10 envelope these days are CCs, which sorta, kinda makes them quite obvious.

It's the same price here. Though theoretically for the same 200g you should get marginally more chips on the reduced salt variety since there is a difference in weight because of less salt.

Yay, it's _finally_ become bearably warm.

Really want to know who it is that perpetrates this myth that there are four seasons, each of three months. The reality is there's winter, when it's dark and cold and if you can't afford to have the heating on it's ghastly - which lasts for "October, November, December, January, February, March, April, May". And then summer, when the temperature finally becomes bearably warm (and it's not permanently night time), which lasts for "June, July, August, September".

There are no other seasons, they were invented for marketing purposes or something.

^ Spring and fall clearly have their purpose, related to the growth and decay of plant life, trees gaining and shedding leaves especially.

Besides, high/low temp in summer/winter depends on region, but then so does the % of each type of tree.

Do we need designated seasons at all? Maybe they're more for OTA TV show season release periods.

Maybe in the UK you can perceive only two seasons.

For me in UAE, there's winter from Dec to Feb. Spring from Mar to Apr. Summer from May to Aug. Autumn from Sep to Nov.

Our new lizards, Nefarian and Onyxia (crazy zoomed in b/c she's skittish).
16 months and 8 pages later...I like the names. Does Onyxia have her own whelp caves?

Also, they need muffler bearings and blinker fluid for the Companionator to function.
This is how it is out here, more or less.
