I want to order something from Onvia, but as you can't usually click through point click to get to them, I was wondering

a) if one could just order "manually" and then do the reimbursment request.
and
b) what's this "confirmation number" that pointclick asks for? Is that your "reciept number" or is it a special # you get when you connect to those sites through the point click network.

TIA

I've never been able to find OnVia in the network. But I know others have, and I believe that they said that an OnVia banner appeared at the top of some of the category lists.

The confirmation # is just the order number.

As far as just buying from OnVia then submitting for reimbursement, it's a risky situation. I did it a few times with Mobshop when they had the 20% off at URL's that I couldn't link to from Pointclick. They did reimburse me, but it was risky. Hopefully someone else can give you a clue as to when and where the OnVia link/banner appears.

I read here that OnVia appears at 6:00am MST on Pointclick. wake-up early and order.

I wouldn't count on receiving a reimbursement check from Pointclick. They have a huge number of checks to send out and they'll probably go out of business before they get to yours.

Onvia is on pointclick for reimbursment. just go to the Reimbursment request page and Onvia is in the pull-down menu.

I tried to do one, but the credit card page failed.

This thread will probably be locked btw, it should've gone in the HOW TO sponsored thread.

Cheers!

web_scavenger,
Where did you get that information? The last check I received was in mid-June for purchases as late as 5/25.
