My Story:

Friend has a convience store and bought a system from Dell with all the goodies, bar code scanner and such. The software that came with it is CRE 2004 and bar code express 2000 and they hate it! They want something that is easy to setup and use and that will integrate with the equipment they have and possibly transfer info from current software into the new. Something with good support and possibly setting it up and training.

I know it uses Microsoft Access. Anybody have any experience in this area? Any help or comments would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance

Thanks for the reply. I installed it on one of my pc's and in a couple hours I have a fair understanding of how things work. Really doesnt seem to difficult I think my friend was just overwhelmed by all the information, Manuals etcetera! These people don't understand pc's too well. I will have a look at Quickbooks POS, if they want too toss the money out the window. They have over 6000 dollars in it, so far. Maybe they will give it too me! :) Sell cheap, Quick Cash. That is a decent price with HW. Thanks again, I appreciate it so much.

Many small business owners need hand holding to get a system configured. They are very willing to spend $50-100 / month on tech support to keep a warm fuzzy.

This is what we use at work every day Keystroke POS It is very simple to setup on either one computer or on a network. The manual is very easy to follow or you can have one of their techs set it up for you. Very simple to use and with a ton of features. Let me know if you or your friend have any questions about it.

I was using a POS called "Quik Register" but it was buggy and caused me a lot of grief.

This past March I switched to Quickbooks POS Pro, and I share the sales data with my accounting PC that runs Quickbooks Pro. I also have a nice barcode printer and it's a piece of cake to print them thru the POS software. I've saved a lot of time, frustration and my CPA fees have been reduced.

Quickbooks POS Pro is Highly Recommended! :)
