PoE LED floodlight?

Why aren't there any PoE LED floodlights? It would be so easy if you could just run 2 ethernet cables for both the camera and the floodlight and not have to worry about power.

I am not sure I would consider a max of 15watts a "floodlight" power source. If you can run the Ethernet, why cant you run some actual power cable also?

15W of LED power is quite a lot. I am planning on getting 12-14W LED floodlights instead of the traditional 500W ones. I didn't say I can't run power cables. I just think that PoE floodlights could be very useful.

15W of LED is 15W of LED. It really depends on the LED and if you can handle the color output and spread. LED W/lm ratings are still not better than a [good] florescent.

Run 120V/240V out there and get yourself a nice gas discharge lamp, you will get twice the light of the LEDs.

Another issue is PoE is really "high voltage / low current" so the LED's would need power regulators and likely would never see the actual 15W. You also need a MAC out there to actually turn up the line also or most switches will shutdown the power after a few seconds.

Actually this is a good point about PoE's low current. I will be getting some high power motion sensing floodlights but I'll use LED ones as well that run thoughout the night.
