PoE adapter

Hi,

I have several units of D-Link Outdoor Access Point, DWL 7700AP. One of the power adapter is kaput. The adapter power output rated at 48V 1.1A.

Can I use generic PoE adapter rated at 48V 0.3A? will it works, or will this make my generic PoE injector, kaput?

Thank you in advance

Right voltage, need more amperage 😉. Wireless AP's require quite a bit of power for their radios. Running it on a .3A adapter probably won't let it even run or do diagnostics.
