Update: If anyone is interested, please visit www.thetgeshow.com. Thanks.

Thinking of starting up my old podcast again. What do you guys think I should use for hosting? I was thinking of using GoDaddy's podcast hosting service for awhile while I get listeners and then moving to something else. But if I could start out with something else already that would be cool. Any ideas would be helpful. Thanks.

It is going to be a technology, gaming, and entertainment podcast, would anyone here be interested in that?

I'd give it a listen for a couple of episodes, but we podcast listeners are a fickle bunch (due to an enormous amount of available content) so if the quality isn't up to scratch from the start you'll likely lose me. Sorry I don't have a suggestion for hosting but don't forget to start a thread (or bump this one) when you're up and running to remind me.

Well, there are tons of podcasts with only 5-10 viewers. That seems lousy at first, but imagine if 5-10 people came in person to listen to you speak every week. You would feel good about that.

Hmm... I think that I'd try to be a guest host on one of the big podcasting sites like Revision3 or TWIT first. Once you get a following there, getting people to listen to your own podcast should be pretty easy.

The only show I've seen get on Revision3 was Hak.5 and they were doing their own awesome show for over a year.

Getting on TWiT would be virtually impossible for someone without either a high profile (think internet celebrity) or someone behind an innovative start-up. When was the last time you heard some random guy on TWiT talking about his two-bit podcast?

You'd absolutely have mine, I'm always on the lookout for interesting tech and gaming podcasts, all the better if both subjects are covered in one.

I'd download it and then never listen to it, just like all my other favorite podcasts. Count me in.

Just started listening, one thing came across as amazingly unimpressive, when talking about the new Safari:

Guy 1: (after an intro to the browser) Anyone used it?
Guy 2: No
Guy 2: Aaah, no

And then one guy goes off on a llooooonnng evangelical boring speech about how great Opera is. God dammit I hate Opera users, we get it, you love your browser. The discussion had nothing to do with Opera. Arg. He is still going.
