man, haven't seen or had these since I was a kid. was at a chinese market earlier and picked up a few boxes. if you haven't tried em, go to your local chinese market and pick them up. they're awesome.

why are they called rocks if they look like sticks?
it doesn't say rocks on the box
 
I remember trying it some years ago some after seeing it so heavily featured in Onegai Teacher and some other anime.

As far as snacks go, it's not bad, but nothing special. I do like the strawberry flavor one more than the regular.

My favorite Japanese snack is CalorieMate. That stuff is just shortbread, but it's good.
