Pocket PC? Palm OS?

My dad is in the market for his very first PDA. The main issues: he wants to be able to synchronize with my mom's outlook address list. He secretly hopes for wireless internet access, although he won't admit it. He wants to be able to find useful software on the internet for free. I'm sort of hoping to avoid Microsoft, because they're evil. But mostly we're just looking for something cheap, reliable, and compatible. What are everyone's suggestions?

For your dad, Palm would be the one to go with. It's just the easiest to learn and there are TONS of free software on the net. I would look at the Palm Tungsten E or Sony Clie TJ25/35. They go for under $200, have color screens, and the latest PalmOS. Check Brighthand.com for reviews. Their forums are a great source of information as well. Good luck!
