I acquired a Toshiba Pocket PC e310, and it does still work, comes with the dock and everything, but, it won't last more than 30 secs outside the dock. Those batteries seem shot.

Anyway, anyone know of anything special you can do with this, or is this one of those items you donate to the museum?

It is useless.

If you are a hobbiest and you want to build something like a raspberry pi, or a small gameboy the $9 chip is orders of magnitude faster and more advanced.

When I say chip I am refering to this product which is used in the raspberry pi type market

https://getchip.com/pages/chip

Now the $9 chip is just the chip, the $69 pocket chip is the $9 chip but also with a touch screen, keyboard, battery, etc in a gameboy type case plus headers and such so you can do more of those hobby things.

If your goal is for a pda type device, you can get android phones that are actually pretty good for $10 to $20 on sale if you know how to look for them and only buy them on sale. For example this deal last week

It was just a normal sale price. Note you do not need to turn on the mobile part, you can use it just as a small wifi tablet.

Here is another expired deal but these deals happen frequently for $10

All of this will be able to do the PDA function far better than a Pocket PC e310

Came here because I used to have one. Had a couple HP Jornadas before it and a few Compaq iPAQs after it.
