Poal: Timberland fans: Which boots?

Well, my old waterproof boots have developed a couple of unfortunate splits in the soles, so I'm in the market for some new ones. Timberland makes really nice shoes, so I figured I'd spring for a pair.

The trouble is, I dunno what style of Tims would be the most versatile. Ideally I need something that can go from casual to office casual. Not a big range, I know, but still. I kind of think the full six inch boots might be over the top, so it's down to:

Classic Waterproof Wheat Chukka: Good, smooth design. Classics.

Classic Waterproof Wheat/White Chukka: Slightly more hip hop? Might not fly in a professional environment.

Classic Oxford Plain Toe Wheat: Are these even waterproofed? They look nice, anyway.

i'd go with the oxford plains.... theyre a color that will be more versatile with more clothes, and if u want something to take into the office, white soles start to look ugly fast, and the wheat would look nicer for longer

Oops, I didn't think I linked any black ones? Oh well, no problem. Edit: I see that I suck at linking.

Thanks for your opinions, guys. The Oxfords are obviously winning~~~

It's a Seinfeld quote. ;)

George paints his Tims black to wear to a wedding in India.

lol, damn, that one went totally past me. I remember that episode, and now I remember that quote. You had me all confused because now none of the links I posted work for me and I thought I had linked the shiny black version of the second shoes. :p

OMFG....someone misspelled "POLL". A four-letter word. Not only was it misspelled, but the OP made up an entirely new word instead of just misusing "POLE" like your garden-variety doofus.

I weep for the youth of today. :(

I'm glad I'm not the only one.

Umm....my formative years were spent in the public education system and I'm quite capable of spelling "poll". Hell, I even know the difference between "poll" and "pole"

I would go with the Oxfords as well.

Though I don't know what you do, but I think they are going to look like a Timberland boot, and
those boots really don't look that business casual in an office setting. I would like to point out
those that most timberland footware is waterproof if thats your only worry. But the Oxfords are
the best of the three.

Edit Early post:

By then again, some of these shoes are hard to get a good feel for when you just see a
picture of them.

Well, I was looking for something that could fill as many roles as possible (those roles including walking through puddles, apparently), since I never buy $100 and up shoes. :p

Feldenak, don't you mean "touls"? It's a pour carpeneter who blames his touls.

He's black, and so it's likely he grew up in a ghetto. Thanks to the education funding system we have in the USA, ghetto schools are the worst, keeping the kids who need education the most down.

Well, either your sarcasm detector is broken or I need to RMA mine. ;)
