$10 rebate from TigerDirect, so its actually $39.99 and a $10 rebate you'll probably never get

That sure is cheap for a 1GB player, at least with my limited knowledge it sounds like a good deal =)

Even at $40 (if the rebate never came through) that's a pretty sweet deal. Thanks!

Awesome! Thanks for the update! Anywhere else you can find this than TD? I'm in FL so have to pay tax, though I guess $2.80 more won't hurt me too much =)

Answered my own question by looking at the rebate form. Globalcomputer.com is a valid place for the rebate as well, and it appears it's the same store as TD, but apparently they don't have to charge tax to FL, since it's coming from NY, or that's their location. I presume the warehouse is probably the same so won't make much diff.

Picked one up from Globalcomputer.com, at least placed my order anyway =) Hope it goes well.

I'm in. Shipping brings it up to $20 or so. It'd have to be a serious POS to not be worth that.

I got mine yesterday. Seems to play okay, controls are pretty simple, which is good because I'm going to give to my mom. But this thing seems of very shoody construction. The USB splash cover does not fit snugly, the battery cover fell off, and the detachable neck band could have a more secure connector. But for $22, it's pretty good. (You can get a 512MB Sandisk Sansa at Office Depot for $30 AR this week, it's much easier to use, but half the capacity.)

There is a $25 off $75 coupon sent by snail mail; the store manager said it is not supoosed to used on electronics, he overwrote it anyway; try it out.
