Wish this applied to the PCI-E version. I did have compusa pricematch the $249 I paid for the PCI-E version to this sale price for the agp version. ;)

I bought a PNY Verto 6600GT from Best Buy a week or so ago for $189.50 ($207.00 w/tax + s/h/i) and no rebates. It was a special sale. I installed the card yesterday and it is a distinct improvement over my Radeon 9700 Pro 128Mb AGP card in the 3D arena.

I've been running the card for the past 48 hours straight with no problems. Just ran 3DMark05 benchmark tests - 2994 at stock speed and then 3513 - letting the NVIDIA software program select the best performance setting for my card/computer (589MHz/1.08GHz). Very stable. BTW, the card has dual DVI inputs as well.

I went a little of the subject, but I think $199 after $30 MIR is decent, I expect that there will be better deals in the very near future (if you can wait).
