Only three eggs, after three reviews. No DOAs, complaints were about performance. Appears as if it may use async NAND.

Yeah, those negative reviews seem a bit excessive. 1-star just because it only gets 486 MBytes/sec read? Really? I'm only getting 377 with my current Intel 330 SSD, I'd be very happy to get the CrystalDiskMark numbers he's getting - they're better than my current drive across the board.

I really wonder what he's expecting.

Aren't these one of the drives involved with the bait and switch crap? In the PNY Optima case, early releases and review releases had the SMI controller and then later they were switched to some older sandforce controller that had worse performance then the SMI controller?
