Anyone know much about PNY NVMe SSDs?
Newegg has the CS1030 500GB for $52.99 after coupon code in their flyer, and has the CS2030 for $61.99.
Specs on the 2000-series are better, 3500MB/sec read, as opposed to 2000MB/sec read on the 1000-series. But seq. write is slightly HIGHER for the 1000-series, which makes me wonder about HMB.
Would you pay an additional $10 or so at those price points, for higher speeds? Or is the benefit of NVMe simply worth it already for the increased performance over SATA, and save the extra $10, it won't be noticable?
I'm currently running an Intel 660p 1TB QLC NVMe SSD in my current Ryzen R5 3600 rig, and that only has 1800/1800 MB/sec read/write. Honestly, I can't really tell much of a difference between that and a WD Black with 3500/2100 read/write.
I guess that this is a proposed build for a friend, in a Dell G5 Gaming Desktop tower, with an i3-10100, so I want to kind of keep it as cheap as possible as well.

IOW, is this just a difference in specs due to controller, or is one DRAM-less, which I would prefer to avoid, if I can do so by paying an additional ~$10.
Edit: OTOH, today Newegg has the Crucial P2 500GB NVMe for $50.99 (cheapest out of the three), with 2300MB/sec read/write(?). Might just get one of those, it's cheapest.
