I recently purchased a pny 6800 gt. the only problem is that it doesnt work. i am not the original owner and i do not have a reciept, but it doesnt look physically damaged, so will pny honor the lifetime replacemet and rma it, or not? has anyone else been in this situation?

sorry, but i got a laugh out of that...usually when someone says "the only problem is..." it's something minor 😀

but as for useful advice, go look on their website at their warranty policy, it should tell you whether it extends past the original owner, if you have to have a reciept, upc, etc...

I applied for an RMA for my GF44200 (Lifetime Warranty)..this is the responce

"PNY apologizes however the ?s life cycle has expired and the warranty is no longer in place. Please view PNY's warranty agreement for further details"

Product Category:Verto Graphics Card

Product:GeForce4 Ti4200

Place of Purchase:Fred Meyer

System Information:Home Build/Asus A7N8X/AMD 1700/ 1 GB Ram

Operating System:Windows XP

Description:the display gets garbled and some times blacks out for a time.

re installed latest driver several times and problem persisted. changed

out the card with another and problem is gone. this card has a problem.

The lifetime warranty on the box didn't say limited. Seems to me they just do whatever they feel like doing.
