Considering that I got my Radeon 9700 Pro for $295 a few weeks ago and it's a near equal match for the FX, I can say that $400 is over the top :D

Not to mention it's not even the ultra. I find it funny the people reviewing something they don't even own. Especially the reference to the loud cooler. Which I hope the FX won't have since it's not the ultra version.

got my radeon 9700 pro for $325 2-3 weeks after the card got out and I have been extremely happy with it, now months later I am extremely happy that the geforcefx is a flop because I still have the best card on the market :D

$400!!!!!!!!! This card is sooooo dead, and I'm not only talking about performance, but what the hell is up with the price? It has to come down! There is no way people will buy this card for $400, that is crazy, not unless by some miracle can they get at least a 30% boost by the time this card is released.

Nvida is and will always be the Radeon Killer. Can't wait til this card is released! Anyone interested in LAN parties in Northwest ohio?? EMAIL ME

Maybe it will cause a rift in the time-space continnum as far as clock speed of the GPU, but that only goes so far. I've been an nVidiot since my Diamond Viper V770. But I'm holding off until the quality aspect is declared purdy & nice. No sense in paying $325 on pricewatch for a card that looks worse than an old Matrox oddity.

Seems that people at Nvidia are still mentally stuck in the times when they could charge $500 for a video card. They better take the reality pill or they will crush and burn soon.
