I'd say that less than $350 for a 8800GTS 640MB is quite warm especially since there is no MIR! Almost every other current deal on an 8800GTS 640 requires MIR.

also of note at newegg is the MSI 8800GTS 640MB at 376.60 shipped w/ -20 MIR for $356.60 total.

another decent deal: EVGA 8800GTS 640 is 397.32 shipped w/ -30 MIR for $367.32 total

Hey guys, sorry to bump a topic that's a few days old, but I've been searching around for a good deal on a 640MB GTS and this definitely seems to be the best one.

However, I do have a big, big question: Does anyone know how reliable Dell.com is?

I got suckered into the Best Buy $316 GTS 640MB deal only to have them overcharge my credit card, act as if it didn't happen, then finally give me a refund after a long talk on the phone. It wasn't until I checked ResllerRatings.com and saw that Best Buy had a history of bad practices that I just figured out I got screwed big time. Dell doesn't exactly have a good rating, either.

If you have ordered from Dell, please help and let me know how they are. I ordered a brand new PSU at the same time of the GTS (only from Newegg), and it sucks a lot to have a new PSU in my PC but no video card for it to power! UGH.

I dunno, honestly the best buy deal trumps any of these deals becaue it's the 640mb OC2 (580mhz to 500mhz and 1700mhz to 1600) version and BFG lifetime warranty (pny sucks).

it may have been a hassle but if you're email receipt said $316+tax, then you're pretty much safe cause disputing it with credit card company is fairly easy and they usually side with you if you have proof on the receipt.

anyways, i'm just patient so that's my 2 cents.


as far as dell, they're fine. unless you're that small % who always has problems when buying things online.

LMAO wow talk about bad timing. When I posted this just a little bit earlier, it was still at the $330 price. Now it has already shot back up to $356. Seriously, my luck has just been terrible. First I get screwed out of my Best Buy deal, now they up the price so that it's no longer the best deal out there. Oh well, back to Newegg I go!
