PNY GeForce 6200, worthy upgrade from a 9250?

XP Pro, 512 MB, AMD Athlon 2600+ 17" CRT. I have a Visiontek 9250 AGP graphics card, would this PNY GeForce 6200 AGP for $35 after rebate be a worthy upgrade? I really don't game much, but I thought Far Cry looked nice and played smoothly on my 9250. I'm most concerned if this card will display Google Earth ALOT faster then my 9250, or is filling in the closeups CPU dependent?

google earth is probably cpu, not gpu. the 6200 is a nice card for the $$ though.

64 bit memory interface means its ram speed is really 250mhz. It'll be faster than the 9250 card but you'll probably be better off getting 9700, 9700Pro or 9800Pro used if you consider upgrading for some improvements.

I think the 6200 card can be overclocked though or perhaps unlocked to 6600? Not sure

If you find your card adequate though it's probably not worthwhile to spend more money.

I would probably go for something a little bit better myself, any nice 9x00 8 pipe card will give you a lot more bang for your buck.
