This friday Bestbuy will have the PNY Attache 1GB flash drive for 39.99 after instant rebates. On their site they have a $20 rebate that is valid from 11/08/2005 to 12/17/2005.

http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp...49&type=product&tab=6&id=1089889717787

So,

$109.99
- $70 instant rebate at checkout.
- $20 Mail in Rebate
----
$19.99 ?

Rebate form: http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp...age&rebateid=62879&skuid=6778392&h=387

I've skimmed the ads and the site for anything that would make the rebate invalid but i haven't found anything yet. Does anyone else think this will work? I picked one up at my local bestbuy today and got a rebate printout at checkout. Hopefully I can swing by BF morning and do the return and rebuy ;)

I was actually considering getting this anyway, now I definitely am. I don't see anything wrong with the rebate, but I suggest people save a copy now in case it gets pulled. Thanks OP.

A couple of years ago, Best Buy rejected a rebate because I used an online form for a store purchase, even though the same rebate was available at the store. Moral: Use the correct form!

Cool! Now I might consider BB over Staples. Anyways, I think they will honor the rebate. Back when there was the "fake" BB coupon, I got a 160gb HD for $10, and all the rebates came through.

Confirmed here too. $40 out the door and a $20 rebate prints up automatically (despite not being advertised).

$20 for 1 gig flash drive is HAWT!!

And this is likely to be in stock at least all of today (probably tomorrow too). Most ppl are going for the other stores that seem cheaper at first glance because the rebate isn't advertised. At my BB, at around 8am they had like 50 of these in the isle. Almost no one was grabbing them.

To OP: Edit your subtitle to say confirmed, and maybe add something like unadvertised rebate so ppl will know they can probably get one even now :)

Bumping since this is the last day to buy and its a dang good price for a 1 gig. And since its a unadvertised rebate, its quite possible theres still some in the stores.

BF meaning black friday. Check the date of the OP.
This was $40 out the door and advertised as such (already a decent price for 1 gig flash) with a stealth, unadvertised $20 rebate that printed at the register (it was also mentioned on the products webpage if you checked the BB website). As such, you didn't have to arrive at midnight to stand in line to buy these. These were availible throughout the BF weekend at many stores. Mine had about 50 on the shelf when I grabbed one at 8am on BF, no one was even looking at them.

This deal is OVER sorry. And yes the BF in the title means Black Friday (friday after thanksgiving, the normally statistically busiest retail shopping day of the deal)
