pny 8gb attache flash drive doesnt accept executables

i am on my second attache 8gb and have the same problem

i can transfer the files to the drive but any type of executable will error every time i try and run it after a reboot of any pc. i can view word, pictures pdf fine it only does it with programs or any type of executable file

are the attaches crap? and known to have issues

Could you try renaming the file without an extension or with a different extension.
Copy it over to the drive, then rename it back to its original.

PNY is usually an ok brand. Could just be another dodgy unit.

i did a 3rd unit and same thing. i finally got them to take it back . i got me a pqi and wham transfer like butter.

so dont buy the pny 8b attaches from frys in renton. they are defective
