Just go to Fry's and buy one?
LOL, Fry's isn't a nationwide chain ... in the Northeast if you asked for Frys they'd send you to McDonalds

I ordered one today, they have already charged my credit card. NOT a hold charge, a real charge. That is not right, if it isn't in stock.

Did they say wed for sure? When I called they didnt give me a guarantee.
This is kinda an odd practice. This was the same circumstance I had with Monarch when I pre-ordered the BFG 6800 Ultra, which they still don't have in stock. However, my funds were refunded in full when I cancelled my order. Even though it is odd, if Fry's is reputable, I wouldn't worry about it. Just make sure that you have evidence that they changed your card.Originally posted by: SickBeast

I would cancel my order under those circumstances.
Isn't there some sort of law that requires an ETA date for pre-orders? I imagine, since the retailers have no clue when they are getting the cards, they just give you a best guess estimate. I'm sure that everyone else has noticed that Newegg no longer does pre-order, the nice thing about that is if the Egg says they have them, they do. I bet that this kinda thing is a huge hassle for retailers as well.Originally posted by: SickBeast
From what I hear, these stores continually lie to customers about when the cards will be coming in. There were people who tried to purchase X800XT's in another thread that were told about 5 different dates. After the first date passed by, they would revise it to a week later. It was a long time before they got their cards, if they ever even did.
