PNY 6800 $199 after $30 MIR at Compusa.com penny shipping

Actually this isn't true with the PNY 6800. If you register the card the warranty is 3 years. This IMHO is better than the "Lifetime" warranty that they usually come with. In 3 years the Video card won't even be worth having any more!

Nope, I tried tonight and they said we only match same brand, so thats out.

Well, I got in on the deal - for all the good it did.

Yep, one of the bad 2D ones. And let me tell you, it's bad. I actually called their tech support and the guy was real nice. I sent them a couple of screen captures and he even said he noticed it right off. Said it looked like the desktop on those old original GeForce 2's back in the day. Yeah, at least that bad.

Today he emails back that their engineers can't replicate it so return the card and it's a case-by-case issue.

Uh, ok . . . pretty much means I'm outta luck. CUSA is wiped out on them here, that's why I hustled up to get one Sunday when the ad dropped. Not exactly a good experience. Guess maybe I'll try the Fry's angle before wiping out the drivers and going back to my ATI.

If anyone still has this product available in there area is there anyway I could get them to get it for me and I will pay for it? Send private message or whatever.

I guess mines a good one. 2D looks fine. Games run nice. I got 8755 in 3dmark03 running on 2400xp-m oc'd to 2.4ghz and 1gig of memory.
No tweaks yet, just the new 7090 drivers. My cpu is probably holding it back from getting higher marks.

They should, that's how BestBuy does it. They have a seperate Customer Pickup Area (Sometimes the Customer Service area) Pretty sure it would work the same.

I picked one up on Sunday. I got about 8900 in 3DMark03 with an Athlon64 2800 and 512 MB Ram. I tried enabling to pixel pipes and vertex units (with RivaTuner) and my score went up to about 9400. I didn't really notice any artifacts in 3DMark.

However, when I went into Half-Life 2 there were serious artifacts in the gun. I disabled the pipes again and the artifacts where still there so i tried turning the pipes on and vertex unit off. That got rid of the artifacts but the game seemed more choppy than it did without the additional pipes.

I ended up just putting it back to factory settings.
