Sounds good to me. Never actually burnt any myself, but PNY is a better name than GENERIC.

I have yet to make a coaster from a PNY. (I've probably burned 500+ CD-R's) That's not to say you won't, but they seem to work well for me.

Anyone try to burn these @16x? I see they are rated to 12X, but I would only get them if they will work at high speed.

I believe this deal originated from BB's Sales Flyer. So it should be valid B&M :D

They are OK disks. I got some and they work pretty well, but I wouldn't trust anything you want saved long term. I'm very suspicious of the ones I burned onto. Good deal though if you need some CD's.

XZeroII:

Which brand of disks WOULD you trust long-term? I have had numerous audio CD's I burned go bad after less than a year. The sound gets crackly and eventually the CD player can't even read it. I'd like to find a brand that is stable long-term (and in the hot car) and stick with it.

Yeah I am thinking of buying a bunch of these sort of cheap CDRs as throwaways. I need to mail a lot of files to people that are on dialup, and I think cheap CDRs via mail might be the best way to get it to them. I dont want to spend a lot on the media, as that would negate the purpose, and the disks wont be used more than 2 or 3 times to read the data. I think I will pick them up and see how they go.
