For those of you ordered online for store pick up, did you get your pick up confirmation email???

The reason I asked is because that BB's website screw up my order since I start using their website...and I haven't got my confirmation yet.....I got a feeling that they might cancel my order or something like that.....🙁

got mine 2.5 hours after ordered

I still haven't recieved my email pickup notice. The store where I choose to pick up is slow as heck though. Last time they took 3 days to tell me they didn't have it. Arranged for pick up at a differenet store a little further away and got the conformation in like 2 hours. I'm not stressing though..kinda wishing I didn't order this as I don't even own a computer that uses DDR. And I just know if i get this ram that I'll HAVE to build a new computer to use it...hmm..maybe a htpc.

Want to sell it to me? 😀

Crap, I ordered 5...

The fact that they said "Maximum of 5" made me think that rebate applied to a maximum of 5 as well.

Bleh...

I picked up one today ,great deal they had 10 with samsung chips some were 4 chips on each side and others were 8 on one side which is better or doesn't it matter.

I also checked over at staples and they have it for 59.99 is this a manufacture rebate or BB REBATE because with a price match $59.99 - $17.99 = $42.00 x 110%PM = $46.20 $59.99 - $46.20 = $13.79 -$13 rebate = .79 cents+tax can't be so ??? there's also a $10 off $10 coupon = $3.79 with out rebate or make $9.21 with the rebate.YMMV as always

Just as a side note, I picked up a couple of these and received the Samsung chips. I am running them at 145 FSB without any problems, so they overclock pretty well also.....🙂. When I was at the store, I also saw more boxes of these on the shelf, so you should still be able to get some instore if you want....

Just scored three of these. The salesman also said he was also going to grab a couple for himself. Also checked out the speakers there and they had some Logitech z340s that were used as a display and I talked the guy into letting me have them for $19.06.... I am beggining to like BB🙂

As I predicted BB's website sended me an email saying that the item is not avaliable for pick up in store......I went into the same store I choose to pick up from....and guess what I found.....yes....the Rams are sitting there on the shelf........woooohooooo......

I got Samsung chips on Samsung PCB. Great RAM so far. I bought it for my Duron machine but tried it at 166mhz (pc2700) cas2 on my AthlonXP and it ran fine!!

hehe yep, picked it up in store in san diego, got samsung chips as well! will be testing it out soon... i should have picked up a couple more!

Yes, I just took a closer look at the 3 dimms that I just bought. It seems that two of them have 4 chips on each side and one has eight chips all on one side. I would think it probably does not matter (performance wise) how they are made as long as they have eight chips total on them. Unfortunately I don't have anything to test them in right now since I just sold my last DDR rig. I think we all should post whether we are using the 4 on a side or 8 on a side when we post are test results.... Also, as a side note only one of the 3 that I purchased have the free System Mechanic software included, it is the stick with the 8 chips on a side. look in the lower right corner of the package to see if the software is included.

I just got back from BB in tucson AZ .... They rang up at 49.99 and the girl said there is not instant rebate... I couldn't find a circular for the 17.99 so I went home in disgust ... can some post a copy of the reciept? Or a copy of the website? I might try again tomorrow with the MGR.....

(disgusted)

What a shaft job, I bet they say this to everyone who tries to cancel because some Accountant figured out Best Buy could make an extra $10 mil a year if they don't let people cancel.

They have to make up the rebate payments somewhere. Sorry though, that sucks.

Well...I get to hear the stuff also....I work at an ecommerce company that also does shipping. When the label for the product has printed (yes they print on the weekends), we cannot cancel it, it's not a plot to earn more money...it's an automatic shipping system...there is a window of like 6 hours usually on the weekend..but only about 1-2 on the weekdays to get it cancelled by a rep.

For those that cannot find the memory in BB - pick up the circular, go to CC. They have the exact same memory, and a $10 MIR to boot 😀 Soooo, after applying PM, my total came up to $14.79 + TAX, and with the $10 MIR, it comes out to about $5. Same deal, no crowds.

However, even though I got the Samsung chips (4 per side), when paired with my 512MB PC2700 Samsung running at 266MHz, CL2, Turbo memory timings, I get a BSOD in Windows 2000... :frown: Not sure if the board just doesn't like this combo, or the memory is actually not up to par - I somehow doubt the guy above got CL2 at 333MHz, maybe he got lucky, and I did not. I suppose I could just try out the 128MB stick by itself to eliminate the "interaction" possibility...

Circuit city lets you PM to an after rebate price? In the BB circular, it is $15 dollars after rebate.

BB price is, I think $17.99 after instant rebates. CC matches that and gives you probably the 10% diff as well, thus the $14.79 price. Did not have any problems, they were fine with the PM. I actually did print out the buy.com cart, where the price shows up (even though it says it is not available for pickup online/in store 😛)

I did some more testing, and it seems the 128MB stick by itself works just fine at 266MHz/CL2... The combination of the 128MB and the 512MB PC2700 stick is no good, I always get the BSOD. Tried changing the order, as well, and tried different slots - no luck. I have the Gigabyte 7VRXP, latest BIOS F7... Granted, it's not that I *need* that extra 128MB, but for $5, I could not resist. I just hope that when I get another 512MB stick of PC2700, it will work... Oh well, that's when eBay comes in handy...

I got the samsung too. It can only do 133(266) @ CAS 2.5
But the other one I got is Hyundai. It's running @150 cas 2 paired with a micron PC2100 without any problem. I'm gonna exchange the samsung to the hyundai.
