Hi y'all!

I currently have a checking account with PNC for six months.
Three months ago, I moved to another town but nearest PNC is about 2 mile apart.
I usually go to bank about 2-3 times a month, so it's not that big deal, but I wish it was more closer.
However National City Bank is very near to my home.
If you were me, would you consider to swich PNC to National City?

Thanks for your opinion ahead. You have a good day!

I use National City for both my personal, and business banking including loans, very low interest credit cards and checking and couldn't be happier with them. Their CS has gone above and beyond with any problem I've ever had, and their fees are virtually non-existent if you play your cards right.

I assume this is a Pittsburgh thread... :)

I use brentwood. Mostly because they were super close when I first moved up here, had free online checking (which was unusual when I got the account), and was part of the freedom alliance. The GF was at brentwood but went to National City not too long ago. She got a 0% mastercard with a 2k limit just for signing up for a checking account. Pretty nice. Overall she is real pleased with their service and I do like their online banking options. If I had reason to leave, I would go with National City. No reason as of yet.

National City appears to be a good company. My mortgage is through them and I've never had any troubles.

Kinda a sidebar about National City. My company uses them as their bank with payroll and my GFs car loan is through them.

I liked NCB when I had them. I know some people here in town who've complained about PNC's service before.

But, look for a credit union.

Neither are bad banks...I personally have my accounts with PNC, and I have no problems with them, plus my family knows most of the people from the local branch and my dad has all of his business accounts and loans with them. Good bank, but National City is on par as well, and if its just for the sake of convience, go for the switch.
