A problem pretty much every smartphone user faces - except the HTC One crowd - is that all of our music and podcasts are on smartphones that lack decently loud speakers. So either you wear headphones all the time, or you plug it into a stereo.

But I've always like wireless things - the whole concept electricity to me is magical... but electricity flying invisibly through the air doing cool stuff... that's magic. So I like the concept of bluetooth speakers, but they are all too expensive.

So I was browsing Google for cheap Bluetooth speakers and came across the "Acoustic BeatsBar Bluetooth Speaker" on Walmart for $39 w/ free in-store pickup, read the reviews and bought one, and I have to say that I'm super pleased. It looks good, charges over USB (w/ microUSB port), and the sounds is good - not great, but not bad. It linked easily and it always magically links with my iPhone every time that I turn it on. There's no messing with anything... just turn it on and all sounds from my phone come out of the speaker. The range for wireless is about 30 feet, it works through walls. It's got the same vaguely mushy sounds that all Bluetooth audio devices seem to have, but ignoring that it sounds good. I mostly listen to podcasts on it and they sound good. It goes pretty loud, but it would be better if it was even a bit louder. And, as an added bonus, you can plug your phone into it and charge your phone from the battery on the speaker. The battery life seems to be pretty good. I charged it when I got it a few weeks ago, I've used it for 5-6 hours straight and it still shows that it's fully charged (5 leds lit out of 5).

Overall, definitely worth the money. I may buy another one for the garage.
